Meet the Decked Out Dad Family

Welcome to the chaos, I mean, family!

Behind every dad doing his best is an amazing support team, and mine is nothing short of legendary. This crew fills my life with love, laughter, noise, snacks in places they definitely should not be, and the occasional reminder that shoes do not belong behind the couch (but seriously, they really don’t).

Life in our house is loud, busy, and beautifully imperfect. Some days are full of hugs, dance parties, and belly laughs. Other days come with messes, tired eyes, and moments that are not quite so Instagram-worthy. But that is real life, and honestly, I would not trade it for anything.

Through all of it, this family keeps me grounded, keeps me growing, and reminds me daily what really matters. So let me introduce you to the people who make my world brighter, my heart fuller, and my dad life completely "decked out."

Jayme: The MVP

This is my wife, Jayme, the woman who truly keeps our whole world running. We have been married for 12 years, and I can say without hesitation that marrying her was the best decision I have ever made. She has been my biggest supporter, my partner in every season of life, and the person who makes everything we are building together possible.

Jayme has a way of loving and serving the people around her that constantly amazes me. Whether she is taking care of the kids, creating some incredible craft project, helping someone in need, or simply making our home feel warm and welcoming, she pours her whole heart into it. Our family is stronger, happier, and better because of the love she gives so freely.

And yes, she is beautiful. I honestly count my blessings every single day that she chose me. One of the many amazing things about Jayme is her hair. I keep telling her she should start a social media account all about it because, without fail, strangers stop her everywhere we go. Target, Disneyland, the grocery store, it does not matter. Someone will walk up and compliment her hair. It happens so often that it has almost become a running joke in our family. (Especially since I don't have hair and have to use fake hair just to keep up haha)

But what I love most about Jayme has nothing to do with her hair or even how she looks. It is her heart, her kindness, and the way she stands beside me through everything life brings our way. She is my best friend, my rock, and the person who makes this whole family possible. I truly could not do life without her.

Lucy: The Trailblazer

Lucy is our firstborn, the one who made us parents and started this whole adventure. From the very beginning, she has brought so much joy, curiosity, and personality into our lives. Watching her grow has been one of the greatest privileges of being a dad.

Lucy is incredibly independent, endlessly creative, and always ready to try something new. She is athletic, determined, and full of imagination. She has a way of diving into whatever interests her with enthusiasm and confidence, which I absolutely love about her. Being the oldest means she often leads the way for her siblings, and she does it with a big heart.

Lucy has always had a creative spark. She loves to draw, build, and bring ideas to life in her own unique way. Watching her creativity grow has been such a joy for me as a dad, and I love seeing the confidence she has in expressing herself through art.

Lucy is a wonderful daughter, an incredible big sister, and someone who makes our family better every single day. I am so proud to be her dad.

Sophia: The Energy Engine

Middle child? Not a problem for Sophia. If anything, she thrives right in the middle of the action. Sophia has a way of bringing people together with her cheerful spirit and kind heart. She naturally looks out for everyone around her and is often the first to help a sibling, share something she loves, or make sure everyone feels included.

Sophia is also full of energy and always on the move. She is a natural athlete who jumps into every sport with excitement and determination. Whether she is doing handstands in the living room, racing around the yard, or trying something new, she does it with a huge smile on her face.

What I love most about Sophia is the light she brings wherever she goes. She has the best hugs, the sweetest heart, and a joyful personality that lifts everyone around her. She is thoughtful, caring, and one of the biggest bright spots in our family. I feel incredibly lucky to be her dad.

Graham: The Family Entertainer

Graham may be the youngest of the older three, but he definitely brings a big personality to the family. He has a way of making his presence known, whether he is requesting just one more bedtime story or proudly wearing a superhero cape at breakfast. Graham knows what he likes, and he is not shy about going after it.

One of the things I love most about Graham is his imagination. He is constantly creating stories, characters, and adventures as he moves through the house. He keeps us laughing every single day and brings so much joy and energy to our family.

Graham also shares my love for music. You will often hear him singing at full volume as he runs from room to room like he is performing for a sold out crowd. His enthusiasm is contagious, and it is impossible not to smile when he is around.

He is a loving little brother who is now stepping into the role of big brother as well. Graham is the kind of kid who easily wins people over with his personality and energy. Our family is brighter and a lot more fun because of him.

Iris: The Miracle Rainbow Baby

Iris is the newest member of our family and already the one who has wrapped us all around her tiny finger. After years of hoping, praying, and walking through some difficult seasons, Iris came into our lives as the sweetest reminder that miracles still happen.

She has brought a whole new kind of joy into our home. Her tiny smiles, sleepy snuggles, and little baby noises have a way of making the whole house slow down for a moment. It has been amazing watching her older siblings love on her and step into their roles as protectors, entertainers, and professional baby holders.

Iris may be the smallest member of the family, but she has already made a huge impact on all of us. She is deeply loved, incredibly cherished, and such a beautiful blessing in our lives. I feel so grateful every day that I get to be her dad.

Andy: The Decked Out Dad

You can read more about me in the “About Me” section, but here is the short version. I am a husband, a dad, and a guy who feels incredibly grateful for the life God has given me.

My family is my greatest joy, and I love doing life with this perfectly imperfect crew of ours.

Being a dad is the role that means the most to me. Whether it is playing with the kids, sharing laughs around the house, or just being present in the everyday moments, I try my best to show up fully for the people I love. I can't wait to see what lies ahead for all of us, but I am thankful for every moment and every blessing that has already come our way.

Life as the Decked Out Family

We are a family that tries to live life fully and love each other well. To us, being “decked out” means focusing on what really matters. Faith, family, laughter, and the everyday moments that make a life together special. Sometimes that looks like big milestones and celebrations. Other times it looks like bedtime stories, kitchen table conversations, and yes, occasionally finding the missing shoes that somehow disappeared five minutes earlier.

Life is not always picture perfect, and honestly, that is part of the beauty of it. The messy moments, the learning moments, and the joyful moments all come together to make a life we are incredibly grateful for.

If you stick around, you will get to know our family through the stories, laughs, lessons, and memories we share along the way. So pull up a chair, grab a cold drink (I highly recommend a Diet Coke), and settle in. We are really glad you are here.

Because the best dads are not perfect dads. They are dads who show up "decked out" for the people they love.
